Meet The Team Who Frees You Up To Find Your Next Big Investment

We direct construction projects for real estate investors so they can scale with ease.

Brent Zande

Meet Brent Zande

CEO

Brent started Slate so that real estate investors could get out of the weeds and level up their business with a builder they could finally trust. Over the last 3 decades, he led more than 15,000 construction projects from concept to completion. His background is the right blend of academic and on-the-job experience that enables our team to serve our clients with excellence. From luxury homes to commercial properties, he’s seen it all – empowering us and the investor groups we work with to have freedom to focus their time on their own terms.

Fun Fact: Brent is a Michigan State Spartan who holds a degree in Construction Management and has led more than 15,000 construction projects! His interest in construction also lends to a natural love for architecture, design, and travel.

Meet Pamela Kelly

Office Manager

Pamela has been with Slate since day one. No two days are the same, but her depth of experience allows her to be command central for our team and clients no matter what your build brings our way. Her experience spans two decades and covers everything from developing programs and managing operations to handling bookkeeping and accounting. Bottom line: ask Pamela about what matters most and she’ll remind you that Slate only wins when you win, which makes our company special.

Fun Fact: Pamela met her husband of 20 years in college and then fell in love after they reconnected when they both relocated and wound up in the same apartment complex. Now, they spend their free time hiking, traveling and enjoying time together with their two children.

Ryan Garvey

Meet Ryan Garvey

Area Project Manager

Ryan is committed to working hard, being on time and having pride in his work. And when we think about it, those three things sum up what we’re all about here at Slate. His experience has taken him from Michigan and New York to Connecticut and now North Carolina, where he keeps building projects on time and under budget for our real estate investors.

Fun Fact: Ryan knew construction was his field of choice when his grandfather, an immigrant from Ireland, took him under his wing. He’s also an avid golfer and loves his New York Jets, Yankees and MSU Spartans!

Ryan Stinnett

Meet Ryan Stinnett

Area Project Manager

What we build every day brings immense satisfaction and relieves unnecessary stress for investors who are building communities in a state different from the one they live in. And for Ryan, that’s what it’s all about. Ask him about what’s important and he will likely share two things: excellence and efficiency. He knows how important it is to do things right and fast. His experience as a licensed home inspector here in North Carolina gives him a well-rounded perspective on every element of the real estate journey. Our clients depend on us, and Ryan is another reason we can continually deliver for them.

Fun Fact: When Ryan isn’t serving real estate investors, he’s likely spending time with his wife, sons and two dogs. They love being outdoors, cheering on the Saints and FC Barcelona and even manage a few rentals of their own!

Jussely Davis

Meet Jussely Davis

Project Manager

Born and raised in Rock Hill, SC, Jussely knows a thing or two about work ethic. He’s worked full-time since he was nineteen and loves using his construction and remodeling industry knowledge to serve our real estate investors. Day in and day out, you can find Jussely working hard to deliver high-quality work that reduces your workload and ensures you have pride in the community you are building.

Fun Fact: If he’s not cheering on the hometown team (the Panthers), you’ll likely cross paths with Jussely at the gym or outdoors hiking or mountain biking.

Dave Mashal

Meet Dave Mashal

When working with Dave, investors frequently comment on his commitment to service and excellence. His drive to communicate quickly in fast-paced environments sets him apart and makes him a perfect part of our team here at Slate Building Group.

Fun Fact: Originally hailing from the Windy City, Dave now resides here in North Carolina with his wife, daughter and two dogs but still cheers on his hometown teams (minus the Bears, when it comes to football, he’s fully committed to Steeler Nation).

Matt Rawling

Meet Matt Rawling
